Funeral Service Held for G. WatsonS8
Funeral services for George Watson. former grain buyer of Shaunavon, Sask., were held Monday afternoon at Bellamy's funeral home. Rev. Geoffrey Glover officiating. Pallbearers were J. Dillon, R. A. McKee, C. Moore and P. H. Prowse. Burial followed at Rosedale Cemetery.
Mr. Watson was born in Ontario 70 years ago. He had been a resident of Shaunavon for 15 years before he came to Moose Jaw 7 years ago. Mr. Watson resided at 406 Fifth Avenue Northwest. He passed away in a local hospital Saturday afternoon.
Besides his widow, he leaves to mourn his loss one daughter, Mrs. W. J. Sanford, Calgary, and four sons, E. G. Watson, Moose Jaw; I. W. Watson, Brandon, Man.; Clarence Watson, R.C.N.V.R., Halifax, N.S., and C. W. (Red) Watson, R.C.N.V.R., Newfoundland.
Open Question
Is it coincidence that Ira Walker and Iva Walker were born on the same month and day, two years apart, or was there a transcription error in the Manitoba Vital Statistics database? Only obtaining a transcription of the birth registrations will resolve this question.
