↑ George's wife remarried in 1896, status Widowed (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XFN9-DJ8 here). One website thinks his death is in 1894, due to a record here nominally containing a misspelling, but also an age at death which is 5 years off. So hardly convincing. Another death record here matches the age, but contains no other information that might distinguish the decedent from any other George Stevens.
