    "Squire, George. Sergt., Fairfield Trainband. He was of Concord by 1641, and rem. to Fairfield with the Rev. Mr. Jones' contingent. Born abt. 1618; he, ae. 68, testified 14 Jan. 1686 [1686/7], together with wife Ann. Ann Squire had a small legacy in the will of Ann Wheeler of Fairfield 1659.

    Will 7 Aug. 1691; son Thomas, had rec'd portion; sons John, Jonathan; son-in-law John Seeley, having married my dau. Sarah; son Samuel; gr. son George Squire all right given to my son George,—this gr. son 'hath ben specially for sum years formerly very weakly'. Witnesses: Nathan Gold, Sr., and John Thompson. Inv. 4 Nov. 1691, calls him Sergt. Samuel Squire, as Exec'r of will of father George, conveyed 25 Sept. 1694 to cousin [nephew] George Squire, all right my father had in land given to my bro. George dec'd."
