There is possible confusion of which transactions below belong to the father and which to the son.

The wording of the following deed at first glance appears to the son selling land of his father. If so, this suggests the father died by 1763, and his land had passed to his sons, they selling it. But since the father appears to be alive after this date, this is probably the father selling land that was deed to him by his son Ephraim and the two references to George Robbins are to the same person (missing the typical "said George Robbins").

Vol. 49, p. 152 31 Oct 1763: George Robbins of Warwick Husbandman and Asa Robbins of Warwick Yeoman for £120 convey to David Allen of Warwick Husbandman a tract of land in Petersham containing 20 acres all the land that Ephraim Robbins deeded to his Father George Robbins.

The death record found in Northfield (here) refers to a brother of Aaron, which would be the son, not the father, that died in 1779. This is supported by the probate file in 1780 in which Ephraim Robbins says he is the only surviving brother of George Robbins. So there definitely was a son George. The probate of the son in Northfield in 1780 contains an inventory that lists no real estate.

Nov. 22. 1779 - Aaron Robins & George his Brother; killed by the Indian, at the Town of Neshobee on the Otter Creek - Aaron Left a Sorrowful Widow & 5 small children - George a Single Man - Verily our Life is as a Morning Cloud & an early dew, which soon passeth away -

The following deed refers to an earlier deed from Edward Allen, which would appear to be the father, and describes him as George of Otter Creek. No deed has been found between the son and Edward Allen but in 1751 Edward Allen sells land to the father (abstracted further below). This suggests the father was alive in 1773 in Otter Creek.

Vol. 114, p. 515 2 Feb 1773: George Robbins "of a place called Otter Creek in the Province of New York" Husbandman for £10 quitclaims to David Allen of Petersham all right to a tract of land deeded to me from Edward Allen excepting what I have already deeded.

The following deeds mention George Robbins. No wife is named in any of them, but see the warning out cited below. Since the father married in 1734, no son could be of legal age until 1755 so all deeds before that are the definitely the father. An article in Vol. 152 of NEHGR estimates the son George's birth as 1750 which would make it almost certain all deeds belong to the father, but as the basis of that estimate is unknown, this cannot be counted on. But general considerations, as outlined, make it likely, but far from certain, that all deeds do belong to the father.
