U.S. Army Ret. : Richards, George - born 1759 in Rockingham [then Augusta] County, Virginia; entered service 1780 in Monongalia County, Virginia where he resided, as Indian Spy in Virginia company; moved to Harrison County, Virginia, thence Wood County, Virginia, thence to Lewis County, Virginia, where he was granted Pension 1833 when William J. Mitchell & John Cain made affidavit there, per County Justice of the Peace Charles Lowther & County Clerk of Court John Talbott. F-S18572, R2036. References
