[edit] Notes"George Linegan" [sic.] and Samders Bostick were listed as "next of kin" in the Inventory of James Bostick's estate in 1749. George Linegar left a will in Kent County, Maryland on December 11, 1756 and probated October 29, 1757. He mentions a daughter, Elizabeth Williams, whose husband John Williams, is absent, and left her in distress and by report was shot in the army, gone to the northward. The property "Spring Garden" that Elizabeth Abbott conveyed to Azariah Bostick was part of a 265 acre tract surveyed in 1723 for Gideon Pearce. He sold 132 acres of the property to George Linegar in 1724, the other 133 acres he sold to John Pryor. George Linegar's will does not indicate that he left any of this property to his daughter, Elizabeth. Source: http://boards.ancestry.com/thread.aspx?o=10&m=142.1.2.1&p=surnames.bostwick |
