Will Abstract
- Will of George E. Kincheloe
- First - I give and bequeath to my son John Kincheloe two negro girls named Mariah and Harrit, named Mariah and Harret.
- Secondly - I give and bequeath to my son William a negro boy named Ben.
- Thirdly - I give and bequeath to my son James Kincheloe a negro boy named Ned.
- Fourthly - I give and bequeath to Nancy McPherson, Mary Owens, Sarah Kincheloe the tract of land whereon I now live containing one hundred and ninety eight acres, be the same more or less.
- Fifthly - I give and bequeath unto my six daughters namely: Nancy McPherson, Elizabeth Whitlock, Mary Owens, Clary Hall, Margaret Brown, and Sarah Kincheloe, all my horses, cattle, waggon and live stock of every description farming utensils and household and kitchen furnniture of every description to be sold and equally divided amongst them.
- Sixthly - I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Whitlock one negro boy called Joe.
- Sevently - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Clary Hale, wife of Chase Hale one negro boy named Henderson.
- Eightly - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Brown, wife of John W. Brown, one negro woman named Jenny.
- Ninethly - My will is that the negro girl named Barthene be sold and equally divided amongst my nine children, to be sold in the family, and if there should be any increase in negroes I want them sold in the family and the proceeds equally divided with my nine children.
- Tenthly - My will is that William Kincheloe, James Kincheloe and John Whitlock be paid respective sums due and owing from James Owen, deceased husband of Mary Owens out of the estate I now leave unto the said Mary Owens, wife of James Owens.
- Eleventh - My will is that my beloved wife and bosom friend have her support and maintainance out of my estate if she have any need of it.
- Twelvethly - My will is that my wearing clothes be equally divided between my three sons and my watch I leave unto my grandson George Kincheloe son of John Kincheloe.
- Lastly - I hereby nominate and appoint my sons John Kincheloe, William Kincheloe and James Kincheloe Executors of this my last will and testament without giving security, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequeaths by me made and hereby pronounce this my last will and testament.
- In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and affixed by seal this 27th day of June 1840.
