Jackman«i»Accountant«/i» George Eugene Jackman, 92, who did accounting work for 29 years at the old Federal Home Loan Bank Board before retiring in 1976, died July 24 at his home in Falls Church. He had a heart condition. The board, which oversaw housing lending by the regional Federal Home Loan Banks, is now the Federal Housing Finance Board. Mr. Jackman was born in Galena, Kan., and served in the Army in Europe during World War II. After the war, he was a business administration graduate of Southeastern University in Washington. In Falls Church, he was a leader of a Boy Scout troop and a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Columbia Baptist Church. He also was a Mason. His wife of 62 years, Dorothy Shelton Jackman, died in May. Survivors include three children, Jackie Jackman of Richmond, Douglas Jackman of Springfield and Edward Jackman of Falls Church; a brother; and three grandchildren. References
