    Weslaco Rector Celebrates 3 Anniversaries in 10 Days

    Rev George W Goodson, Rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Weslaco, is celebrating a triple anniversary in 10 days time.

    On his birthday the past week, he was honored at a covered-dish supper in Grace Parish at which time his wife presented him with a large decorated birthday cake; Sunday, March 22, was the anniversary of his ordination which took place on Passion Sunday; and this week, April 3, marks 8 years that he has served Grace Church as Pastor.

    Rev Goodson is a native of Norfolk, Virginia and received his education in Tennessee. He and Mrs Goodson reside at 565 Indiana Street with their younger son, George Jr who attends Weslaco High School. Another son, Mercer, is a Senior in the Sewanee, Tenn - University of the South, where he is preparing for the ministry; their only daughter, Mrs Vernon Birkholz, resides with her husband in Dallas.
