Notes
- From Rootsweb Message Board:
- The information I have regarding George Fitzgerald concerning his year of birth comes from his Revolutionary War pension application, which was dated 17 October 1820. On his application he stated he was 65 (sixty five) years old, which would have his year of birth 1754/55. His grave is located in Washington County, Tennessee, and he died in 1839.
- George also stated that he "has a wife and nine children, all of whom have left him." He stated he was living with one of his children at the time of the application. This seems to be saying that his wife was not dead, only that she was not with him.
