"He left by both wives three sons, Adam, Great Grandfather to James Duff, • present Schoolmaster at Mortlach, and a student of Divinity, William and Daniel, and two Daughters, Margaret and Rachel, most of them were married, and their Progeny is now very numerous. Adam's Grandson, Peter, Mr. Duff's father, married Anne Moir, Grand daughter to Moir of Waulkmiln, an Heretor, and got £500 str. of portion with her.
