His obituary recorded that he was staunch a member of the Hobart Branch of the RAAF Assoc, past President, State Secretary and Life Member of the State Council of the RAAF Assoc. President of the Taroona Rugby Union Football Club and Life Memeber of the State Rugby Union Assoc.
