George Curtis, Barber, Dies
George L. Curtis, 73, of 1200 Willis Ave., died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Rio, Wis., he was a resident of Syracuse 20 years. Mr. Curtis was a veteran of World War I.
A retired barber, Mr. Curtis was a member of Stanley Pennock Post, 2893, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by a son, Donald G. Curtis of Harrisburg, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Iora Lange of Baraboo, Wis. and Miss Ina Curtis of Portage, Wis.; a brother, Charles Curtis of Portage, Wis.; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Kompf Funeral Home, 203 Fitch St. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
