    "Perished in the wreck of the steam-ship Home, near Cape Hatteras.

    No man knoweth his sepulcher, but his memorial is in the hearts of thousands." 2

    2 From epitaph in Chapel cemetery, Andover, where Mrs. Cowles, who was a daughter of Principal Adams, and who was lost at the same time, is buried.
