George Clapper

HARROD -- George E Clapper, 89, died at 8:40 a.m. February 13, 2004 at S t. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born June 29, 1914 in Paw Pa w MI to Boyd and Edith (Brown) Clapper. On August 5, 1939 he married Mari an L Zimmerly and she died June 7, 1997.

Mr. Clapper was a farmer and had also worked at Ex-Cello Corporation in Bl uffton. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, Ada. He loved anima ls and woodworking. He was a 1932 graduate of Ada High School.

Survivors include two daughters Marlene Loescher of Westerville OH and Be tty (Jack) May of Lima OH; one brother Boyd (Phoebe) Clapper of Ada, O H; one sister Elizabeth Walker of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildr en Amber Wells, Jack (Lisa) May, and Julie (Troy) Mohr; and seven great-gr andchildren Kayla and Jackie May, Caitlyn Conley, Lauren, Nathan, Hannah a nd Tyler Mohr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday February 16, 2004 at Ch iles & Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev. Harrison Underwood and Thur man Grass officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the fune ral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Church of Chri st Youth Group.
