George Butcher is mentioned in the Revolutionary War Pension file of John Sleath, as follows:

George Butcher' made affidavit there then he was age 5-6, when soldier & widow married, & widow resided at his father's home when soldier was in service per County Justice of the Peace William J. Bland.
