Monday, 4 October 1982: GEORGE BUSHULAKStellarton- George William Bushulak, Sr., 60, of 19 Belmont Avenue, Stellarton died unexpectantly at his home this morning.Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late George and Clara (MacKenzie) Bushulak.He lived in Stellarton all his life where he was a member of Christ Anglican Church. He was also a member of Branch 28, Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton. He worked as a coal miner for about 20 years.The past twenty years he has been a member of the Stellarton town police force. He served in Bermuda during the Second World War.Surviving besides his wife, the former Nora Higgens, are three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Achorn, Bermuda; Karen (Mrs. Derek MacIntosh), Halifax; Darlene (Mrs.Allister Forsythe), Westville; two sons, George in Westville; Alan at home; five grandchildren, two brothers, Robert, Canmore, Alta.; John in Dartmouth.The remains are resting at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, with visiting after 2 p.m. Tuesday.Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. in Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton.
