In both the 1841 and 1851 England Census, George is listed at his grandparent's residence, William and Elizabeth Pickett. According to FamilySearch Family Tree[2], his father died before he was born (Apr 1830).

There doesn't appear to be a record for him in the 1891 census (no George Boyce born in Millbrook, Hampshire). There were at least 4 other men named George Boyce born in Hampshire within a few years of him according to the 1871 census. Some of these continue to show up in later census records, and should not be confused with him.
