'BECHTEL, GEORGE, son of Abraham Bechtel, and younger brother to Abraham, was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, February 19th, 1746. He was married to Elizabeth Morris. She was born May 5th, 1752, and died December 22nd, 1836. In 1800 they moved to Canada and settled in Waterloo County, near Blair, on the old "Eschelman Farm" where he died September 17th, 1828.'

'George Bechtel [son of George and Maria Bechtel], b. 19 Feb 1746. d. 17 Sep 1828, Blair, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. md Elizabeth Morris. Some believe that this George may be the son of Abraham (b. c1710) of Hereford Township, but there is no record of Abraham having a son named George and there is proof that George (b. c1700) had a son born in the 1740s and was taxed at Hereford Township and then disappears from Hereford Township. He was taxed at Colebrookdale Township in 1773 next to his brother Jacob and then gone.'
