... George Wythe Baylor, son of John R. Baylor, lives in Carrizo Springs, Dimmitt County, Texas. He was at one time a member of Company A of the Texas Rangers, captained by his uncle for whom he was named. He was born on September 22, 1858, on the Camp Cooper Indian Reservation, Young County, Texas, where his father was for a time Indian Agent of the Comanche tribe.
