Most likely GEORG was born in the PALATINATE, and not Bavaria. A common mistake made often with these people! Hackenheim is a village of 568 souls in 1835. It is located near Bad Kreuznach, in the Palatinate. This area is a few miles north of Waldgrehweiler. We have names of other Rausch Family members, who are likely relatives, but have not added them to WeRelate.org because the connections have not been proven. It would seem that Georg was the eldest of the Rausch surname lines (of 5) we have. Georg's son, Charles, married Elizabeth REGULA, who was born in WALDGREHWEILER, a tiny village associated with the ancestry of most of these Palatines. Of the 5 Rausch lines, none of the names in this "tree" seem to be associated with Wabash County, Indiana. Associated with Georg Rausch, are the surnames of: Bayer, Shultz, Regula, Lorenz, and Kohler. When Georg died, Stone Creek was still known as: "Philipsburg". --White Creek 22:39, 20 October 2012 (EDT) Image Gallery
