- At least one website shows this Gamaliel as the son of Family:Gamaliel Arnold and Esther Richmond (1). Presumably there is some confusion because both this Gamaliel and the one who married Esther Richmond ended up in Wisconsin, suggesting their matching relocation to the same state indicated a family relation. However, the death record explicitly names his parents, arguing this was just a coincidence.
