PORTLAND - Gail D. Rubler, 66, beloved wife of Ronald S. Rubler, passed away peacefully at her home June 14, 2005, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Portland, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Virginia (Deerborn) Thompson and the sister of the late Ellen Thompson-McAveney.

Besides her beloved husband of 47 years, she is survived by her six children and nine grandchildren; Mark T. Rubler of Amston, Conn., and his children, Jessica, Sarah and Matthew; Kim A. Rubler of Salem, Mass., Susan M. Clark, of Cummings, Ga., her husband, Jay and their children, Stephanie and Meghan; Karen E. Jenkins of Snellville, Ga., her husband, Gary and their children, Alyssa, Brian, Carley and Mason; Joseph W. Rubler of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Brett T. Rubler of Middletown, Conn. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Stephanie T. Nodden and her husband, Dick.

Gail was a resident of Madison, Conn., for 32 years. She was member of St. Margaret's Church where she taught CCD. Besides her involvement with the church, Gail was also an active community service volunteer.
