English Translation: "A second [parsonage] was immediately built with Pastor Weißgerber's assumption of office in 1854. Thus, Austmann's successor now had his hands full keeping the congregation on course. Soon there were signs of success...Here a larger and more comfortable frame church was built in 1856...Apparently, there were difficulties arising from the school issue that moved Pastor Weißgerber to leave the congregation in April 1858.

English translation: "I have not cited paster Weissgerber as a member because I still see him as belonging to us. Unfortunately, I must mention here with deep humility that brother Weissgerber has recently exhibited signs of mental disturbance in which he saw himself disposed to, or was prompted to tender his resignation to the congregation. If it is necessary, I think it is the synod's holy obligation to show our strong support by helping our suffering brother."
