The photo shown above, is believed to be of FRIEDRICH in his cavalry officer's uniform. The date of the image is unknown, but considering the previously unknown birth information on this WeRelate page, the picture would have probably been taken in circa 1871, or later.

The picture was owned by Mary Louise Heitmuller, of Silver Spring, Maryland, a grandniece of Friedrich. The original is in COLOR! The uniform trim is in red, and the belt buckle, and sword is in gold. This compiler has seen it! Apparently, a German artist painted over parts of the original picture, before it was sent to the USA. This compiler took the original picture to a studio to have it copied (before photocopy machines existed) but did not order a reproduction made in color (regretfully!).

Friedrich's American relatives say that he was married to a woman of royality (although poor) and had 14 children.

A follow up note in 2017, is in regard to the first image (below) of Friedrich and his family in 1930, in Tungendorf, in Germany (state of Schleswig-Holstein), added by Karl Lohmeier, in circa 2016. The occasion is their 60th wedding anniversary. The second photo, more recently added, shows Christine and Friedrich Lohmeier with their 14 children at their "Golden Wedding Day" (50 years) on 06.06.1920 in Tungendorf, Germany.

The map below show the location of the village of HELPSEN, in the center of the map.
