Date: Sunday, January 23, 1994 Frederick Schreiner, 85, formerly of Brunswick, died Friday in Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.

He was born in Taborton, and was educated in Sand Lake schools. He worked for Earl Shortsleeves for more than 30 years as a well driller before retiring in the late 1960s. Mr. Schreiner was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy and had lived on Euclid Avenue in Brunswick at one time.

He was the widower of Elizabeth Coonradt Schreiner.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth F. Quandt and Betty Revoir, both of Troy; a son, Frank Frederick Schreiner of Troy; a stepson, John Hoose of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Beatrice Ranken of North Greenbush; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick St., Troy, with burial in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.

Calling hours will be 4-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the Mountainview Volunteer Fire Company in Wynantskill.
