  20. Obituary From The Gospel Messenger July 28, 1928:
    Rohrer, Bro Frederick, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harvey Markley, May 4, 1928, aged 68 years 5 months. Death was due to a complication of diseases following the flu. He had been a member of the Brethren Church for many years and served in the deacon's office very faithfully for thirty years. He had reared a family of seven children, one preceding him six years ago, his wife died about a year ago. A few days before his going he called for the anointing service. Mrs. Bessie Markley, Plymouth, Ind.

  22. According to the records of Pearl Rebecca Rohrer, Lydia was a Methodist and Fred, a member of the Brethren church. During the first winter of their marriage they would sit in front of the fire, read the Bible, and discuss differences. Lydia "read myself into the Church of the Brethren". Pearl (Neal) Rohrer remembered her as a "most delightful Christian woman, very concerned for her lord's work and for her children, all of whom were well taught by their mother".
