Obituary: 

  Frederica Holmes Trapnell "Ricky" Of Wilmington, DE passed away July 13, 2004 after a brief illness.
   She was born in Bluefield, WV July 6, 1909, the eldest of 4 daughters and a son born to the Rev. Richard W. Trapnell, II and his wife, Evelina Tucker Trapnell.
   The family moved to Wilmington and Ricky attended Misses Hebbs' School and Wilmington High School before graduating from Chatham Hall School in Chatham, VA.
   She graduated from Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, VA, and held a graduate degree from Columbia University School of Library Service.
   She spent her working career at the DuPont Company as the head of the legal library, retiring in 1974.
   She was a lifetime member of the Virginia and the Jefferson County (WVA) Historical Societies.
   Ricky is survived by 10 nieces and nephews; as well as 26 great nieces and great nephews, who will all remember her great wit and family storytelling.
   Burial at the Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town, WV will be private.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
