    Aprl 3, 1925 - Frank T Boland, DSC, 27 years, 9 months, died suddenly in New York City. He was born at Eganville, the son of Mr & Mr Thomas G Boland. He was approaching manhood when the Great War broke out. He enlisted at Toronto in 1915 with the 37th Battalion, went overseas and saw 20 months in the trenches. In 1917 he transferred to the Royal Air Force and for his splendid conduct he received the Distinguished Service Cross.

    He returned to Canada in 1919, and engaged with the Union Bank, and latterly in the brokerage business in New York. On March 24, 1924 he married Olive M Isabel Turnbull, of Beaverton, Ont. Besides his grief-stricken wife he leaves his parents, and siblings: Erid Boland, Saskatoon; Aubrey Boland, Winnipeg; Aida, Jean and Marjorie Boland of Eganville.
