Francis J Theis

Francis J Theis, 85, Tiffin, and formerly of New Riegel, died Saturday, Ju ly 12, 2003, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

He was born Feb. 16, 1918, in New Riegel, to Edward and Ursula (Gruss) The is. Jan. 27, 1951, in St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel, he marri ed Marguerite M Reinhart. She survives.

Also surviving are: a son Roy Theis of Tiffin; three daughters, Irene (Chr is) Sours of New Riegel, Shirley Feck of Findlay and Susan (Cameron) Dor ey of Conway, Ark.; and eight grandchildren, Alicia Sours of Chicago, Ill ., Josh Sours of Norfolk, Va., Jake Sours of New Riegel, Jonathan Fe ck of Findlay; Ashley and Michaela Theis of Tiffin and David and Andrew Do rey of Conway, Ark.

Preceding him in death were: his parents; a daughter, Anita Theis, in 196 8; a brother, Elmer Theis; and a sister, Martha Wasserman.

Mr. Theis retired from the Seneca CO Garage in 1978 and was a lifetime far mer.

He was a member of American Legion Post 354 in New Riegel for over 60 year s; the Catholic Knights of OH for over 77 years; and member of St. Mary Ca tholic Church.

Mr. Theis had been a private in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at St. Mary Cat holic Church. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Ho me in Tiffin, with a Wake service at 7:45 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
