    QUAY 3 "The death occurred at Brechinon Tuesday morning, March 23333333, of Francis McElroy, one of the oldest settlers in Carden Township, at the advanced age of 94 years...was born in the county of Ferman agh, Ireland in 1826 [sic], came to America when a young man. After a few years in the different states, he came to Canada and in 1855 [sic] he settled in the dense forest of Carden Township, where h e hewed out a home for himself, which still remqins the old homestead, and where he lived until the death of his wife, two years ago..."
