  • Francis Hodge of Sullivan Co., Tn. bought 500 acres on the North side of the Watagua River in 1787. (Entry number 847) This land was annexed into Sullivan Co. in 1788, "starting at the mouth of Indian Creek, running South of Francis Hodge to the Watagua".
