According to the information sent by Trudy Rhoton to J. Abshier in March 2003, the Power of Attorney was granted to John Holley of Bedford County, Virginia, "to collect all money due me by devise of my mother, Ann Gaddy, deceased". This information can be found in Deed Book #8, page 24, in the Green County Clerk's Office in Greensburg, KY.

A copy of Francis Gaddie's will, from the Green County Will book #2, page121, was sent to J. Abshier by Trudy Rhoton in March of 2003. I have seen the name Francis spelled as such, and also as 'Frances'. In his father George's will, the name is spelled Frances. In his own will the name is clearly spelled with an "i", as in 'Francis'. Francis' last name also seems to have had two spellings during his lifetime. In his father George Sr's will, it was spelled 'Gaddy'. In Francis' own will, it was spelled 'Gaddie'. Francis was bequeathed land on Flemings Mountain (in Russel Parish, Bedford County VA?) by his father George in 1785. According to the Rhoton to Abshier information of March 2003, Francis and Judith had ten children together.
