    In the name of God Amen I Frances Bridger of Ashurst In the Countie of Sussex Spinster beinge weeke in bodie but of good and perfect remembrance thankes bee to God Almightie Doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme Following Item I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almightie God hopinge to bee saved by the meretts of Jesus Christ; And my bodie I Committ to the Earth whence itt came to bee decently buryed att the discretion of my Executor and my brother Richard Bridger; As for my estate I doe give itt in manner and forme Following Item I give to my lovinge Father A twentie shilllinge peice; Item I give to my brother Richard Bridgers wife fortie pounds to buy her a peice of plate to bee paid her three moneths after my decease; Item I give to my brother Richard Bridgers wife and and Daughter Jane a mourninge ringe of twentie shillinges; And so likewise to all my brothers and sisters and my neice Jane Byne; Item I give to my brother James Bridger two hundred pound to bee paid him halfe a yeare after my decease; Item I give to my Neice Elizabeth Byne fiftie pounds to be paid her att her age of one and twentie yeares or day of marriage which shall first happen; Item I give to my Neice Jane Byne three pounds to buy her a peice of plate three moneths after my decease; Item I gvie to my godsonne Tho: Horley sonne of Tho: Horley of Ashurst fortie pounds to bee paid him att his age of one and twentie yeares; Item I give to his mother Mary Horley my ridinge furniture sasey nails and hoods; Item I give my goddaughter Frances Bridger tenne pounds to bee paid her three moneths after my death and all my gold; Item I give to my sister Jane Bridger a twentie shillings to my brother Richard Bridgers wife my new Cabinett, and wheeles(?); Item I give to my Neice Elizabeth Byne my wearinge Clothes linnen and woollen; Item I give to the maide servants tenne shillinges a peece of my brother Richard house; and the Men Servants tenne shillings a peece; And to Tho: Potter tenne shillinges; Item I give to the poore of Ashurst three pounds to be paid a weeke after my decease and to bee ordered as my Executor thinkes fitt; Item I make, Constitute and ordaine my lovinge brother Henry Bridger my sole Executor; And my meaninge is that he paying all my Legacies; and performinge my will shall enioye the rest of my estates; And my request is That my brother Richard Bridger will see this my last will and testament performed; Item I also give to my Sister Gratewicke my peice of worke the sweet bagge; As for funeral I desire that my brothers and sisters may have a ribband of a quarter of a yard broad and two paires of gloves; And the best sort; A ribband of a quarter of a yard broad and one paire of gloves; ordinarie peerle(?) ordinarie ribbands; It witnes whereof I the said Frances Bridger renouncinge all former wills by words or writinge doe here sett my hand and seale the Eight and twentieth day of March one thousand sixe hundred Fiftie five; Item I also desire A tombe stone over my grave and two paire of [blank] to [blank] John Everhood(?); ITem I give to Mr Fist three pound to preach my funerall sermon.
