Copied from an old Bible published in 1768 at Cambridge, England, given to Douglas Wright Maynard (Mrs. Randolph Maynard), now in possession of Mrs. Belle Valentine Lumpkin, Farnham, VA.
Elliott Steveman and Mary Young were married 10th of June, 1782, Monday.
Foxhall their first son was born March 30th 1783.
Elizabeth their second child born Jan. 21st 1785. She died the 28th May following.
Their third child, a daughter in 1786, was still born.
William Young their fourth child and second son born 7th Feb. 1788.
