Funeral service was held Thursday at Sands Westwood Chapel of Flowers,Nanaimo, BC for Mrs Florence Belle Mullen, 86, who died at NanaimoRegional Hospital on February 5th. She had been a resident of Nanaimo since 1973.

Born in Ardmore, NS, she was a d/o of Thomas and Ruth [Cosman] Sabean.She worked in the United States during First World War. After hermarriage to John F Mullen, Weymouth North she moved to Ethelton, Sask.and Victoria before moving to Nanaimo.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1967.

Surviving are one son, John Kenneth, Nanaimo; three daughters, Helen [MrsCecil Hedberg] and Florence [Mrs Jim Hannay] both of Nanaimo, and Aileen[Mrs Ken Lowres], Victoria; one sister, Althea [Mrs W MacDonald], CapeCod, MA; seven grandchildre n and six great grandchildren.
