    Flora Zinn, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Mercy Hospital where she had been admitted the previous evening. A memorial service will be held at the Milton Seventh Day Baptist Church Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Earl Cruzan officiating. Burial following cremation will be at Farina, Ill. near her parents and sister Zea.
    Miss Zinn, daughter of Thomas and Mary Langworthy Zinn was born June 2, 1885 at Farina, Ill. Her grandmother Nancy Zinn came in 1866 as a widow from Berea, Va. with her five daughters and son Thomas to be early settlers of Farina with William Anson Goodrich, brother of Joseph Goodrich of Milton.
    Miss Zinn came to Milton in 1903 as a student in the academy, earned her Bachelors Degree from Milton College in 1913, and Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin. She was a teacher in the public schools in Illinois, Colorado and Wisconsin, and for 22 years taught Latin and German in Juneau High School, Milwaukee.
    She took pride in having had Astronaut James Lovell as a student. On retirement in 1952 she built a home on Davis Street in Milton.
    She maintained a keen interest in her church, civic affairs, and Milton College. She attended college activities, especially those of the music department. She had a fine personal relationship with students. She was a past-president of the Milton Women's Club.
    She was preceded in death by an infant brother and three sisters. Mrs. Harold (Edna) Stillman, Mrs. Leman (Ruth) Stringer, and Zea Zinn. Survivors are nieces Mrs. Boyden Crouch, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Lenore Stillman McKelvy of Denver, Col. and nephew Major-General Robert M. Stillman, San Antonio, Tex. Also first cousins Adeline Titsworth, Columbus, Ohio and Ruth Schlagenhauf Johanson, Canta Clara, Cal. Local relatives include Mrs. Russel Maxson, Ralph Green and Paul Green. The late Mrs. Walter Hudson was also a cousin.
