Thomas Payne married Elizabeth Flaile (Flayle) 14 Feb. 1691, Parish of St. Nicholas Cole Abbey, Old Fish St., in London England. She was from Richmond Surrey England.
Flayle Payne, their son, was Christened in St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Old Fish St. in London on 29 Nov. 1696. Flayle was in Prince George's Co. Maryland by August 1727. He died in Frederick Co. Maryland in Oct 1765.
John Payne, son of Flayle, and wife unknown, sold their land called "Payne's Delight" in 1773, and he, and wife, Mary, purchased land in the forks of Rock Castle and Goose Creeks in the spring of 1774. The land was located in South Bedford Co. Virginia, near Huddleston. The deed said "John Payne, late of the Province of Maryland". We have a DNA match with Thomas Chester Payne of Bedford Co., who was born in a house on that land.
