Published on 12/01/04 in the Fostoria Focus Eileen Hathaway McAdams Eileen Hathaway McAdams, 88, of Valley Village, Calif., passed away Saturd ay, Nov. 27, 2004, at Independence House Nursing Home, Fostoria. She was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Bradner to Jay B. and Flossie A. (Ault) Hath away. She married Robert McAdams in 1969 and he passed away in 2003. Those who survive her include four brothers, Warren “Jim” Hathaway, Bradne r; Rex Hathaway, Bryan; Herbert Hathaway, Bloomdale; John Hathaway, Virgin ia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Vopel Parsons, Bowling Green; and Cora Blackma n, Fort Madison, Iowa. Those who preceded her in death include her parents; husband; a brother, M ilo “Mick” Hathaway; and a sister, Jane Spidle. Mrs. McAdams was a telephone reservationist for United Airlines for 27 yea rs. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Valley Village, Calif ., as well as the women’s group of the church. She was also a member of United Airlines Retirees Association; a 1943 grad uate of Montgomery Township High School; and a graduate with honors from H unter College in New York City, N.Y. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m., at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Bradn er United Methodist Church, Bradner, with Rev. Zedda Myers.
