From WorldConnect database 2787254 by William Griffing: In a letter to his wife, Augusta, written on March 14th, 1860, James S. Griffing writes, "Brother Chivington said Fanny had set aside [her fiancee] Freeman, and married a man named Norris during an absence of her parents. The methodist minister refused to marry them under the circumstances. How they were married, he did not state." They were married by Joseph Griffing, Justice of the Peace on March 7, 1860.
