    Ezra Potter was born in Westerly, Rhode Island, in 1814, and came to Alfred in 1823. He was one of the early settlers in the county and prominent among the farmers. His wife was Miss Content Sisson. They were married in 1837. In 1874 Mr. Potter died, aged sixty. His widow resides with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. F.W. Hamilton.
