The book "History of Chester County, Pennsylvania" has: "Ezekiel, born 10, 18, 1740, resided at various places within the limits of Birmingham, Caln, Goshen, and Bradford Meetings, but lost his membership by taking an active interest in Revolutionary affairs. In 1786, and again in 1795, he was elected sheriff of the county, serving in all six years in the office. He died near Hockessin about 1822"
