Dale Everett Gunn 5/7/24 ~ 1/31/04 Dale Everett Gunn, born May 7, 1924 to William Everett Gunn and Florence Irene Dewey in Salt Lake City, Utah passed away at his daughters home in Sandy on January 31, 2004. Dale married Fokje Antionette Dikkerboom on Dec. 15, 1954.He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in numerous teaching and leadership positions. He served missions for the church with his wife in California, Wales, England and Australia. He loved serving in the church, from teaching the youth to officiating in the temples. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the medical corps. He was an avid sportsman, was especially gifted in horsemanship, and enjoyed unusual sports such as boar hunting and field trials. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. All of us are better for having known him. He is survived by his wife, Fokje 'Tonny' Gunn, his children, Helga Gunn (Robert K) Wilson and Dale A. (Debbie) Butler, his siblings, Marian (Horace) Gardner and Dewey (Carol) Gunn. He has 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, 11:30 a.m. at the Woodruff Utah Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friends may call Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, 4-7 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel at 1007 W. So. Jordan Pkwy. (10600 So.) and Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, 10:30 a.m. at the Woodruff Ward Chapel, Woodruff, UT. Interment will be in the family plot in the Hoytsville Cemetery, Hoytsville, UT. The family is especially grateful to Leslie Black, the doctors of the Huntsman Center, VA Hospital, and Linda at Crosslands.
