Obituary

Evelyn M. Neumann, 81.

  Evelyn M. Neumann, 81, of East Jordan, died Oct. 20, 1995, at Charlevoix Area Hospital.
  Funeral will be 11 a.m. today, Oct. 23, at the Paullin Funeral Home in East Jordan.  The Rev. Peter Elliott of the East Jordan Missionary Church will officiate, with interment following in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
   Mrs. Neumann was born May 4, 1914, in East Jordan, the daugher of Ray and Nora (Hayes) Gee.
  On Oct. 15 1955, in East Jordan she married Frank H. Neumann, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1988.
  Mrs. Neumann worked for Wickes, now known as Dura Mechanical, for many years until her retirement in 1976.  She was a resident of East Jordan her entire life.
   Mrs. Neumann was a life member of the Jassamine Rebekah Lodge No. 365.
  Survivors include her son, Maurice Murphy and his wife, Margaret, of East Jordan; one stepson, John Neumann and his wife, Sandy, of Mancelona; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vale Gee and his wife, Vera, of East Jordan, and Glenn Gee and his wife, Lillian, of East Jordan; and one sister, Fern Bennett and her husband, James, of East Jordan.  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Neumann was preceded in death by one son, Terry Murphy, and by one brother, Earl Gee.
   Memorial contributions may be given to the East Jordan Missionary Church.  Visitation was held Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22, at the Paullin Funeral Home in East Jordan.
