Eva F. Behrendt Dies at Age of 77
Mrs. Eva F. Behrendt, 77, a 32-year resident of Wichita, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
She was born at Huffman, Ind., Nov. 29, 1883, and moved to Wichita in 1928 from Syracuse, Kan. She was a member of Broadway Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Behrendt, Syracuse: and Ted Behrendt, Merced, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Hephner, 1617 S. Madison, Mrs. Paul Countryman, Winton, Calif., and Mrs. Larry Kelly, Tacoma, Wash.; three brothers, Frank Minor; 8004 S. Broadway, Oscar Minor, LaJunta, Colo., and Guy Minor, Ulysses, Kan.; seven sisters, Miss Ida Minor,, 8004 S. Broadway, Miss Amelia Minor, Syracuse, Mrs. George Purcell, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Lela Putnam, Inglewood, Calif., Mrs. Barney Grissom, Colby, Kan., Miss Alma Minor, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Mary Armstrong, Inglewood, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at Downing Mortuary at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Harry H. Cunningham, pastor of Broadway Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
