  3. Several sources, including Source:Proceedings of the Worcester Society of Antiquity, Vol. 25, p. 17, suggest the widow of Samuel Curtis died in 1861. No such death record is found and the death record cited explicitly identifies her as the widow of a Samuel Curtis. Speculation might suggest the erroneous reports are based on confusion with one of the many Eunice Tafts born in Uxbridge, such as this one? In any event, the intentions in Greenwich to Samuel Curtis appear to confirm this Eunice was the one, as her father Jesse Taft, originally of Uxbridge, died in Greenwich in 1810 and presumably she had moved back home after the death of her first husband.
