"123 Eunice⁴ (Griswold), b. Litchfield, Conn., Mar. 21, 1721 (Jacob³, Jacob², Michael¹); m. in Litchfield, Jan. 19, 1737/8, Solomon Buell, b. Aug. 30, 1715, son of John and Mary (Loomis) Buell. Her inscription, West cemetery, Litchfield: 'Here lies the body of Mrs. Eunice, wife of Capt. Solomon Buell. She departed this life Aug. 7, 1771 in the 51st year of her age. She was the first English person ever born in Litchfield.'"
