Eugene Quade, 65, died at Melrose
Eugene Ernest Quade, 65, Rt. 4, Sauk Centre, died September 7, 1986 at the Melrose Hospital.
Mr. Quade was born November 8, 1920 in Raymond Township to parents Gustave and Ernestine (Wehrhahn) Quade. He married Viola Rucks May 25, 1979. He married Sally Beste on August 31, 1985.
He was a farmer and co-owner of Quality Rice and Associated Investors in Gonvick, Minnesota. He retired from farming in 1979. He had served on the board of Community Elevator Association of Sauk Centre, and was past president of the First Lutheran Church Board.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Gideons International, St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids Camp.
Survivors include his wife, Sally (Marcella) of Sauk Centre; step-sons Richard Rucks, Vernon Beste, Ronald Beste, Kenneth J. Beste, all of Sauk Centre; step0daughters, Mrs. Craig (Wanda) Erickson of Upsala; Mrs. Bill (Barbara) Burns of Hazel Run, Minnesota, Mrs. Warren (Brenda) Stone of Sauk Centre; nine step-grandchildren; brothers, Ervin of Hallock; G. Virgil of Sauk Centre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Violet on August 5, 1984; sister Velma Barchenger.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. William Almann officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Lutheran Cemetery, Upsala, Minnesota.
Casketbearers are Lyle, Robert and Gary Quade, Richard Barchenger, Allen Gamradt, Joe Koehn.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Gideons International.
Memorials are preferred to American Lutheran Church or Gideons International.
