Dr. Eugene Aras, 50, Dies At Hospital Dr. Eugene Aras. 50. of 2170 K. Snyder Road, died at 5:110 p.m. Thursday in Dettmer Hospital following a massive coronary. He was hospitalized only a few hours. Born in Katerinoslav, Russia, Nov. 24, 1917, of Lithuanian parents, he was a son of Sergei and Karoline Artiomovas. He had lived in Piqua 14 years, coming here from Fredericksburg. Ohio. His marriage lo the former Heima Mikkelsaar look place Dec. 3. 1949 in Philadelphia. Dr. Aras was graduated from Kuawas University, Lithuania, in 1943 and received special training in gynecology and obstetrics at Frauenklinik in Nuremberg, Germany. He passed the Ohio State Medical Boards Feb. 21. 1951. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church here, the Miami County Medical Society. Ohio State Medical Association and the American Medical Association. His wife. Heima survives with two sons. Peter K. and Mark C. Aras. and a daughter. Barbara F. Aras, all at home, and a brother. Vilalis Artiomovas in Lithuania. The body has been cremated and memorial services are planned at St. John's Lutheran Church, the time to be announced. Flowers are to be omitted and Dr. Eugene Aras' memorials may be made to the Miami County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
