    He settled in Pinckney, Lewis, NY of which he was supervisor in 1808; was one of the two Seventh-day Baptists who first settled in Northern NY, and one of the 13 constituent members of the Adams Church. He held the offices of Supervisor and Justice of the Peace for over 30 years.
